I presume you've read all the crap about fiddling with input/output buffers and audio channel memory allocation? (In the Audio>> System screen)..
If you've already tried all this then all I can suggest is getting a newer version of Cubase.. I had numerous problems with my SBlive in Cubase (In Windows ME) until I upgraded to 5.1 ... Then it all ran smooth as silk.. Hit me up if you need it..
I haven't tried the imput output buffers yet. It did the same thing with Cubase 5 R6, I just recently upgraded to 5.1 R1 and still does the same shit. I think its time for a decent soundcard anyways, lack of ASIO sucks.
