yup, it does work well. there's a few ways of doing it, for me i just mult
off the unprocessed channel in the patchbay, run through a comp and bring up
the compressed signal and blend with the uncompressed. it's a good way of
working especially if you have a cheap compressor that doesn't handle a lot
of compression gracefully. the compressor that's in Recycle 2.0  works in a
similar way, there's a mix control that lets you balance the straight and
compressed signal.
