I'll have to agree with dirtyrat on this one... sampling breaks is one thing, but sampling synths is another. I thought the whole point of sampling something was to use it differently, but if you're gonna go use synths samples from other dnb tracks, it's kinda... cheap. Let's get a list going of old funk artists you guys like, so people can start looking into their cd's (like the thread going on earlier, which mk2 responded to listing the Incredible Bongo Band as one good source of samples). Any others? mk2 also included a link to www.funk45.com, and jesus christ, there's a lot of good shit on there. C'mon, let's start throwing out some names...
