Take the case of your computer and find your where your ram is located.  If you dont know what ram looks like jus look up "pictures of ram" on yahoo.  You got your computer and it's got all the chipboards and wires and all that shit.  Jus look for 1 or more long narrow plastic cards that are in a slot. You'll know  it's not the ram, if they got cords coming off of them or you can plug something in to them.  Once you have located the ram look for extra slots, if you have extra slots then you can put more ram in, next,  take the ram card out, (Im not exactly sure how much ram you can get for the size and fitting that your card will be).

ie. You have 64 ram card; you can get a 128 ram card that is the same size as the 64 ram card, hence giving you 128 + 64

Just ask at a computer store they'll tell ya. 

Ive got 512 ram,  2.0 gig p4 sony viao computer
