Nope, wasn't asking for you to defend. I really am just intrigued on how
you are able to do that. You reply explains to me what type of sampled vs
real bass you can hear. And I agree with that. I think your ears are really
picking out the difference between synth bass and processed bass (Using external
source objects to manipulate an original sound).
Your
friend that can tell digital from analogue bass is a whole other ball game. I
won't go there... honest ; )
To
keep this thread on the original tip, To get the Twisted, or Distorted minds
style bass, as two replies to the thread mentioned, it really is 100% about
LAYERING (VOICES LAYERED AS IN CAKE ANALOGY ON THREAD) then EFFECT
(REVERB, DELAY, COMPRESSION, MIX) and finally PROCESSING (LFO, PITCH
ETC) the sounds together. And mix in time and
perseverance!
