to round-up the issue, this was due to a bug in amprolla3, now fixed https://git.devuan.org/devuan-infrastructure/amprolla3/commit/22ec2a3634b8eee640a335e8d9f28754509e7024 thanks everyone for spotting it and to parazyd for recognising it and fixing it immediately!
