Thank you for that catch, Olaf. Ascii installs fine on my Udoo X86 now. The only oddness experienced is that placing grub in /dev/sda, "First drive" according to the installer, required altered boot sequence in the bios for it to be able to boot. But Ascii works like a bought one. OK, I still need to figure out how to get sound working, but ISTR that was initially an issue with Debian too, so will look back on what I did then.
