That's not necessarily true; there's also OpenMotif
(http://www.openmotif.org/).  Neither is part of Linux or GNU, so
what's included varies by distribution.  It should be possible to use
either on an OpenSolaris-based distribution, too.  Lesstif is a
reimplementation, while OpenMotif is a direct offshoot of Motif
itself.

All that aside, is there any reason you can't use wxGTK on Solaris?
It at least seems willing to compile for me, with --enable-unicode
--with-gtk --without-motif.
