Yeah, I think I am leaning towards agreeing with this. If we clearly mark a translation as unreviewed (I prefer that to "alpha") it seems that the benefits outweigh the risks. I think we'll find out pretty fast if the translation was particularly awful. And what we have now, in most languages, is far enough out of date to be damaging.
