Hmmmm....well, the cool-down period priciple also applies to the EGR valve. Not only does the valve itself stick, but the vacuum lines to the transducer can become cracked or frayed, and not provide enough vacuum to open/close the valve.
I'd go with the computer's reading on this one... chances are good either the EGR valve or transducer needs replacing (it is usually sold as a kit, including the transducer hosing). Cheers. -DP -----Original Message----- From: p larson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2005 8:15 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [dodge_intrepid] Need Help Please!!!!! >From the ignition key the only code i got was 32 and 55. but the book says two diffrent things and only one counts to me. but i really dont understand it. >Are there any engine diagnostic codes that you can provide us with? >You >can get the main ones with only one tool: your ignition key.
