I periodically have a similar issue with my 2000.
#1) Do you have an aftermarket alarm system installed?
#2 The dashboard light control is on the left side of the dashboard
adjacent to the
headlight switch.Try slightly rotating in one direction to the end
then back in the
opposite direction. If this improves the situation you may have a
control switch
with some residue/dust on the contacts. Sometimes rotating the wheel
back
and forth periodically may possibly eliminate/minimize the problem.

My 2002 Intrepid that has 40,000 miles ahs developed a blinking light
problem.
The lights for the mileage and gear thing and the little ac indicator
light flash when the lights are on. Not all the time but most of the time.
What could that be caused by?
