Sorry...I thought I was posting this on the minivans group for some
reason, and talking about the 41te/41ae.  Yes, the 42le has independent
sumps for each.  The recommended gear oil for the differential for this
vehicle is 75W-90.

There was no AWD LH, but there are AWD LX series, but that is completely
different powertrain.

Cut me some slack here...I haven't read messages in over a month, and
was trying to catch up on well over 1,000 messages in my yahoogroups.

Ummm what are you talking about?  First off, when has
Dodge made an All-Wheel-Drive LH?  In both my first
gen(95) and my second gen(99) trannies they both took
gear oil in the diff casing.  On the fill bolt there
is a big plastic tab that says 80-90W gear oil.

Perhaps I just didn't understand your post and you
could clarify.  As far as I know this is the same for
all LH's  The fill bolt for the diff should be behind
the passenger front tire.  I would not use ATF+4 in
there either.
