In my opinion, the brakes on the Intrepids are a little weak for the
bulk of the car.  They seem to have good initial bite, but lack the
overall performance that is needed for a heavier car.  The car simply
won't stop as fast as some of its contemporaries, like the Ford Taurus
or Chevy Malibu.  Admitedly, I believe those cars are a bit lighter
than the Intrepid, but not by that much.  Better calipers or a better
master cylinder would probably be the only solution.
