In my opinion, the brakes on the Intrepids are a little weak for the bulk of the car. They seem to have good initial bite, but lack the overall performance that is needed for a heavier car. The car simply won't stop as fast as some of its contemporaries, like the Ford Taurus or Chevy Malibu. Admitedly, I believe those cars are a bit lighter than the Intrepid, but not by that much. Better calipers or a better master cylinder would probably be the only solution. Josh Davis Cedar Rapids, IA 1996 Dodge Intrepid ES
