So KVM is wrong, but your solution is to buy the most
expensive thing on the rack? I'm sorry but that is
not sound advice. Research is the way get the smart
buy. KVM has been a long time brake manufacturer for
all different makes and model cars. They are in my
opinion a battle tested company. So to your assertion
that bigger$$$ is better, I say Bull. Case in point,
i used to have to replace or turn my brakes about
every year when i used stock parts. Since moving to
KVM rotors and hawk pads I have gone three years with
the same brake setup. No warping, I still have pad
left, and the braking distances are as good if not
better than the stock setups.

KVM was not Dodge bashing. They were simply stating
that the rotor thickness was not sufficient. I really
don't even understand your argument. First you say
KVM is wrong in their assertion, yet give no basis for
that argument, be it fact or opinion. Then you go on
to say auto manufacturers like to save money and
weight. i'm sorry but when a car is 3800 lbs. a few
ounces off the rotors means diddly squat! I don't
care about rotational mass or whatever. I'd much
rather have a solid braking system and pick up a few
ounces is a willing sacrifice.

The fact is Auto manufacurers make a product to seel
to the masses. their goal is profitablity. In that
respect they can't always equip these cars with the
best parts available on the market and keep the car
competitively priced. You pretty much back this
statement in your post. So why is that the
aftermarket companies products are inferior? KVM, for
instance, make brakes and only brakes. So why
wouldn't they be able to produce a superior product at
a cheaper cost than Dodge who only supplies stock
brake rotors which were built to perform at a certain
cost point? (ie(Dodge exec) "what's the best rotor we
can get for $10 a peice, our cost?")

Food for thought,
Mike
