I've got an '04 Intrepid SXT. And I'd like to see if anyone has any
thoughts on this: I'd like to get rid of that sorry little "teething-
ring-for-a-dog" spare tire that came equipped with my car and replace
it with a matching chrome wheel and real tire. So, will I have any
trouble getting this new rim/tire into the same space as that little
tire fit in? And if so, I really don't want it to simply just lay
inside there and bump around. It needs to be secured. So, will I be
able to use the current attachment that was installed to secure the
new tire and the jack? I know that some Intrepids were optionally
equipped with a full size spare but I wonder if the same securing
equipment is inter-changeable. Before I plunk down about $500 for that
new rim and matching tire I sure would like to know if I'm gonna have
any problems getting it to fit inside that spare tire well and if I'll
need to get a hold of my dealer and get something different to secure
my new full size tire.

Anybody got any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks...
