The full-size spare in my '98 is a steel wheel, not an alloy wheel.
Nevertheless, the full-size alloy should fit just fine, and I believe
it will use the same hardware to secure it.

I wouldn't buy a new wheel for this purpose, I'd go to a junkyard and
probably save a good 75% off the price of new. Get one with a tire,
and you're golden.
