The calipers aren't fixed, they're on slides that allow them to move
inboard/outboard as the piston applies pressure to the inboard brake
pad.  Those slides shouldn't allow the caliper to rock fore and aft,
however, except perhaps a tiny, tiny amount.  Not sure what your
original complaint was, but I've never heard of anyone blaming this
for a problem before.
