I remember when I did my own brakes, the guys at Schucks turned the rotors and drums for me.... into garbage. When they were done I could actually see a spiral groove in the rotors, and grooves in the drums. I was like what is this, and they said oh, nothing its normal. So dumb me went and put them on the car. When I would brake I could hear a nasty grinding noise (crunching?). I took them back off and had NAPA do it right.
Maybe the noise you hear was from someone botching the rotor turning. If you are looking, make sure the rotor surface is uniform and a dull metal color. hope this helps, Kel Web: <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dodge_intrepid> Subscribe: <mailto://[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Unsubscribe: <mailto://[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Moderator: <mailto://[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Yahoo!
