Do yourself a favor and avoid the 2.7. Intrepids also came with a
3.2L from 1998->2001(?), and a 3.5L from 2000 through 2004.
(Concordes got the 3.5 a little later than the Intrepid did, but they
had the 3.2L as well.)

If you've had a couple of 3.3L engines, you're used to drop-dead
reliability. The 2.7L has a few weak points that make them worth
avoiding. 3.2 and 3.5L engines will be a nice upgrade from a 3.3, and
they're durable.
