Just make sure that when you do drive the car, it gets completely and
  thoroughly warmed up.

Moisture accumulates in the engine crankcase when it gets cool outside,
just
like it does in any enclosure. Once the temperature outside hits the
dewpoint of the air, water condenses on the inside of the engine.

It ends up in the oil when the engine runs and starts swishing it around.

If the oil never gets hot enough to cause the moisture to evaporate, the
moisture accumulates in the oil, causing milky white sludge.

Sludge is bad! It doesn't lubricate and it clogs oil passages.

Get your engine good and hot when you drive, then the water can be driven
off and the oil will be far less likely to sludge up. The exhaust system
will last longer too. Short trips kill your car!
