Post-1997 Intrepid models used a rounded face radio. These only fit
1998 and up.
1993-1997 Intrepid units will all fit, and all have the same connectors.

On other Chrysler products, the change to rounded-face radios happened
at different times. Stratus/Cirrus for example had them as early at
1996, possibly sooner. Basically if you find a radio that is the
right shape, pretty much all will interchange. Be careful about units
from Horizon/Omni (not that you're likely to find one) and pickup
trucks. A few of these were two speakers only.

Not sure if cassette/cd was an option in the square-faced units, but
it's possible. A salvage yard would be the best place to look -- the
better high-end salvage yards pull the radios and test them, then keep
them indoors. I've had good luck with eBay, too.

I would hazard that if you're receiving AM, your antenna is probably
okay and not the source of the problem with FM. I don't have your
original post that said what was wrong with your current unit, but if
it's having troubles in other regards its probably suspect. Car
radios have to survive a pretty harsh electrical environment and after
awhile they give out.
