I have a 99 tranny in my 95. It will bolt up with a few minor modifications. This install can be done by the home mechanic. Keep in mind the Intrepid trannys were beefed up in 00(not sure if it's mid year or if all 00's are beefed up). But you can go to Dodgeintrepid.net and do a search on the 1G->2G tranny swap. There are several write-ups detailing it including my own.
