Hey, Ozzietron and suzukimx45, thanks for your info on this and thank you very 
much for the time your took to respond to my posting. 

I really don't want to offend anyone here, but I'm just trying to get at 
whether the timing chain going on the 2.7 as a group is really an endemic 
problem because that's what I need to make my decision on, not on whether one 
person has had this happen. Mine hasn't broken and I need to assess the 
likelihood of it happening and that decision has to be based on how prevalent 
this problem is in 2.7's. If we made decisions on getting stuff changed based 
on whether one person had suffered any particular problem our cars would be in 
the garage all the time, right? Also, cars can get an unwarranted overall 
reputation based on what happened to a few rightly infuriated users, we all 
know that.

So maybe long time users of the forum might have seen a disproportionate number 
of postings along the lines that "my 2.7's timing chain broke!"
