In relation to Rob’s question It depends on how the factory handles it.
In the case of DG the schedule is by serial number thus each individual 
aircraft.
If the factory requires reports you are buggered as they won’t accept a report 
when they didn’t sell the schedule and compliance with the schedule means 
reporting.
That’s my opinion anyway.

In the case of Hawker Pacific I have got a reply from Bernard Eckey.
He is indeed still the Australian agent for the Diamond Aircraft Motor Gliders 
being the H36 and the HK36.
If you need anything from Diamond I suggest you go through him and yes Ian even 
if in New Zealand.
I bought a lot of stuff last year for the repair of the HK36 and went through 
Bernard.
He put the enquiry and order through.
I then made payment direct to Diamond and they shipped direct to me and this 
included some big stuff like a new wing and front undercarriage as well as a 
new canopy.
I then placed another order late last year for bits for our H36 NHB after it 
failed the Dive Brake Torque Tube AD.

I have not had problems with a response or delivery.
But then I have not gone through Hawker.

Bernard assures me nothing has changed in his status so we can still go through 
him for MG parts.
GA parts are via Hawker only as they are the exclusive agent.
Seems someone in Diamond is sending you guys to Hawker as a matter of course.
I also spoke to Christa at Diamond before I contacted Bernard and she also said 
there was no problem ordering through him as I have done before.
So I hope that problem is solved.

      Can anyone explain the life extension process here?
      If we do all the required work and tests as per the schedule and it is 
signed out by a inspector with a survey ticket, why do we have to deal with the 
Diamond factory?
