Hi Ken
Thanks for your answer.

My mailaccount is easily searchable, even when I'm not online. I don't

It's been really hard to get new users or non-members to use Discuss
because they don't have a good searchable archive. Yes, YOU have all
your old Discuss posts saved in your inbox (as do I) but it doesn't help
new users.
So we could simply keep the current mail/nntp/rss/web-system and give
the web part a nice search interface. BTW, the list *is* searchable with
Google. So it probably would just need a google search box with a few
preferences.
Mail alerts are good. Do they contain all the content? Can I answer
via mail?
Yes, the contain content. While you can't reply via email you there is
a link in each email that sends you straight to the thread on the forum.
That's not to bad. I just don't see the improvement. And I can really
sign up for *all* new messages?
But if you're anyway already redoing everything: A bug tracker (public
or at least for the resellers) and a public code repository (instead
of only downloads) would be nice.
We're thinking about it. Status and Discuss where the big things we
wanted to tackle on opensrs.com before the end of the year. You'll see
lots more in the new year.
I'm looking forward to it.
Cheers
Arthur
