My major reason is that Discuss in all it's flavours has been dead as a

I think activity on this list is a direct result of the state of the
domain reg industry. In it's infancy, there was a lot to talk about,
but in the last few years there hasn't been much to get excited
about....
Very true.
Not to mention the state of Tucows. Very little happening, no new
products (.TEL!!), there's not much to discuss.
Someone at Tucows is seriously delusional if they think a new forum is
going to bring out the participation of more resellers. But I can
certainly understand why they think that _something_ needs to be done.
It's been pretty dead.
