What I did was to get a Trust Primo webcam from Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9131451.htm).[1] This works fine as far as video is concerned (640x480), but the audio is c**p. So what I have is video from the Trust and audio from the Logitech and Skype seems to work fine. I've only tested it over our internal network so far, but there was zero packet loss and crystal clear video and sound.
