Hi Hamish,

My car has a limitation where it can only see the first 100 or so
tracks I think, so trying to load the family's complete collection on
to a USB stick for it doesn't really work that well.
The USB stick presents a USB mass-storage device to the car which can
also be done by a device you program. That gadget could give you an
interface to switch between groups of tracks to present to the car.
As you select a new group, the gadget ‘unplugs’ and re-plugs in so the
car thinks you've swapped USB sticks.

Just an idle idea. Here's something which looks relevant from a quick
DuckDuckGo.

Hi Ralph,

That looks very interesting, thanks for sharing. I wasn't aware that a Raspberry Pi Zero could do that! That said, having it sticking out from my dashboard probably isn't very practical, but it's an interesting idea for sure.

Apologies for my very late response.

Best,

Hamish
