Surely if it supports AA screen mirroring then just mirror your favourite mp3 player app onto the main screen?

Poweramp was always a favourite when I was on android.

With the rise of AA and CarPlay, the sooner manufacturers stop shipping out of date, poor quality infotainment systems,  the better. Just give me a big screen I can mirror to.

That sort of works. I tried three current Apps before I found one that worked. The first could play the music, but claimed it couldn't find any media on the phone when I tried to set up a Playlist. The second; VLC, allowed a Playlist, but couldn't find the files. The third; Pulsar, worked for both *and* displayed the track data on the Mini screen. However, getting it to work after a cold start was and is a bit convoluted, but that's mainly down to the fundamentally convoluted nature of the software that drives the Interactive Unit.
