I used to have Calibre on both my PC and My Android tablet. I think I gave up
on it on my PC some years ago, and when I got a new tablet and tried to restore
it It didn't work for some reason. I now have ReadEra on my tablet, but just a
few documents in it, no books.

I should probably get back to reading from my tablet [Android 14], but haven't
been inclined for awhile.

Hi Terry,

They vary between .mobi, .epub and pdf.  The problem is that when
I try to Add them to Calibre, they still don't open.
Which suggests an earlier problem of it not showing them from being
added in the past?

I don't use Calibre, but ‘calibre-debug -g’ as an alternative way to
start it may show some useful information in the terminal as it does
things you think are failing.
