I agree somewhat, but this list IMHO is currently technically above most newgroups and 
other
lists.  That's why I like it.  I don't like going through emails where the person 
asking could
have found the answer by reading a few standard books.

Not that I'm getting elitist!  There are many different types of programmer in the 
world, and I'm
happy with that.  But the type of programmer I want to be in a list with is someone 
who reads a
lot of technical papers and books and ensures that they are at a high standard.

My considered opinion is that keeping it 'as is' will continue to support a high level.
