I don't see a reason why anyone should (1) do a five user session, (2) with
people you don't know, (3) where all of them rename the other ones randomly.
Did you really get user feedback for such a scenario? And the request to add a
"session nickname" in addition to the existing "rename feature" to solve that
"problem"?

It's possible to rename your contacts (at least as long as they are not part of
the session, see [bugs:#842]). However, if they are in a session with you,
their JID is displayed instead of the nickname you gave them.
