For the user, Saros is not Yet-Another-XMPP-Client, but a tool for distributed
collaborative programming. Using XMPP network-wise, the user has to choose an
account name for himself, and we think that his/her colleagues should be able
to organize their contacts in a way it suits them. Personally, I like to give
my contacts prefixes, and I don't care about the server part of their account
name: instead of **john....@foomail.com** and
**jane....@saros-con.imp.fu-berlin.de** my contact lists has the entries
**[Private] John Doe** and **[Work/DPP] Jane Doe**.
So what was your point again?

** [bugs:#848] Nickname not displayed for in-session contacts**

It's possible to rename your contacts (at least as long as they are not part of
the session, see [bugs:#842]). However, if they are in a session with you,
their JID is displayed instead of the nickname you gave them.
