At least I am glad that I can stop working on the XMPP Link Local feature
regarding this "bug".

It's possible to rename your contacts (at least as long as they are not part of
the session, see [bugs:#842]). However, if they are in a session with you,
their JID is displayed instead of the nickname you gave them.
