Well, it's not very elegant but it works. I solved the problem by creating a new search function and putting it in Local Aliases.
imdb2|http://www.imdb.com/find?s=tt&q=/%s The search syntax becomes imdb2 <movie name> Before I did this one liner and after I uninstalled IE7 as described before, I reinstalled DQSD 4.0 with the exact same error result. With imdb2 I am a happy camper until I (or someone) can find the real problem.
