I am also fitting a Jabiru 2200 engine. Since it comes with a standard
engine mount there will not be much chance to change the distance from the
firewall without major structural change. Since the Jabiru is 32 lb lighter
than most VW derivatives I will use the battery position to make sure that
the CofG is in the right place. I probably wont have much problem though, I
also have an extra fuel tank built into the forward turtle deck, so the
lighter engine should just about make up for the heavier forward structure.
