as you have learned, the construction of an experimental is a series of
choices. to get the CG where it should be (if you don't you are in for big
excitement) you can add weight to the nose or ---- rebuild or build a new
engine mount and put the CG where it belongs.
If you look at turboprop conversions (or even the cessna caravan.. ) that's
why the engine mounts are so long... In these planes, CG is critical.
