Thom,
Just remember that "gubmint" is OUR pockets, and I'm afraid if we don't exercise our rights and bombard the "elected officials" with email, regular mail, calls, etc. they WILL spend mucho tax dollars then abandon it. I emailed my representative officials, with the argument how much more efficient and cheap wireless is, and got actual responses thanking me for some "enlightenment". Might have been a junior aide, I understand, but at least I registered not only dislike for BPL, but spoke of a cheaper, more effective replacement that someone read, hi. My senator is retiring, so I intend to hit the "new" one as elected Tuesday quickly!!!

Don, WB5HAK

It's the David and Goliath syndrome. Second class, secondary usage, it's all the same. BPL translates into big bucks. It's not going to go away. For now be happy that the FCC hasn't auctioned off our entire HF spectrum. We should all see the handwriting on the wall. It's plainly stated "Dont cause them any interference".
Well, let's see how much the gubmint subsidizes what appears to be a commercial dud....
