I am presently using the Heil Goldline mic and using it mostly with the HC 5 element selected. I get excellent audio reports. I have used the Shure D-104 with the crystal element as well with not so good audio reports. Most say it is too tinny. If you use the any mic, the one thing you have to be sure of is that it is a high impedance mic.
