Hi guys

Now I think it's time to terminate this discussion. I've been following it
for a couple of weeks, and now everything that needs to be said is said.

I have been dealing with this individual a couple of times, and have nothing
to complain about. This said, I don't defend shill bidding (which is a
violation of eBay rules) or misrepresentation of the items you want to sell.
But I don’t hink this list is the proper place to handle this sort of thing.
File a complaint to eBay if you suspect fraud or other violation of the eBay
rules.

eBay is a great place, and makes a global market which makes the
ham-community even bigger than before. I check prices regularly on
different kinds of equipment, and do not see higher prices on eBay than on
the various sales lists around. And it is voluntary to bid. Those of us
who don’t like this seller naturally won’t buy from him.

This is a great place to discuss Drake-matters. Keep it that way. Keep
cool!

Emne: [drakelist] That e-bay shark....

He obviously thinks he's really smart, but to me the serial number
phraseology suggests that the plate on the chassis may or may not be the one
that was on it when it left the factory.

Used car salesmen have been known to switch them around, and that seems to
be where his business model comes from. There's a big UK based camera dealer
with the same 'ethics' - Presumably e-bay/Paypal make too much money out of
them to care about their own reputation.
