[drakelist] Power Supply for TR-7(a)

Hi all,
I'm interested in hearing the pro's and con's regarding using a switching power 
supply with a TR-7(a).  I remember this question coming up on the Sunday PM 
technical net some time ago, but forgot the details.
As I recall, it is not recommended, but don't remember why.
