My two cents, a linear (aka analog) power supply, especially the PS-7 will be far more trouble free than a switching supply. I've been running the same PS-7 since 1982, mainly on 100% duty cycle RTTY, without one problem. I doubt that any switching supply would have come close to that MTBF.
