I have a PS-7, however I am not willing to give up the amount of space it takes up on the "modern" side of my shack.
When I first bought a switching PS, I was informed by a few "knowledgeable" hams that I was setting myself up for trouble due to noise. Perhaps if I was doing weak signal work I might notice an issue, however after using a SS PS for over 5 years,(with a TR-7, IC-730 & TS-430) I have yet to encounter any.
