      The voltage regulator is an OA2 I believe - these are a common tube - I 
have aquired
  several of them for backups at very reasonable prices. No I would shut the 
TR4 off
  when I was finished using it! Good Luck and 73!

Boy I'm having fun with my new Drake! I worked 2 stations
in Serbia on 20m SSB (one was mobile), busting right through
a pileup on sunday afternoon. Love it!

Anyways, I noticed that V20 had a neon blue arc at the top
for 5-8 seconds when I first turned on the rig this morning.
Looking at the schematic V20 appears to be a voltage regulator.

I've got 2 questions:

1) Where can I get a replacement?
2) Should I leave my TR4 on from now on?
