There is no skirt on my main tuning knob but it may have been taken off. Mine had much rust on the case and faceplate but doesn't look too bad now. (Don't look in the back). New filters got rid of the hummmmmmm. I like it !!! Saw a perfect one with the Q-Mult at a hamfest last week for $200.
