OK. Well the 2-B did not have numbers on the "kc" dial around the main
tuning knob. There are only 40 divisions, and they were specified only
as "approximately" one kHz. The VFO in the 2-B was NOT linear, but the
divisions approximated 1 kHz each for five or ten divisions either side
of a particular frequency.
The only red on the 2-B dial is the dial pointer itself and the little
slider knob used to move the calibrated dial back and forth.
No mirrored scale, but sometimes in photos the printed dial legends are
"shadowed" onto the white internal background behind the red pointer,
making it look a little "fuzzy".
Other than that..... :-)
In fact, the only difference between the 2-A and 2-B front panel is one
more slide switch (eight on the "A", seven on the "B"), with the
additional one used to select Passband tuner selectivity of 2.4 or 4.8
kc. The "B" added a 0.5 kc position, requiring a three position
selector lever behind the Passband (Sideband) knob on the panel of the
2-B. ALL 2-Bs are identical on the front panel.

It doesn't have a numbered scale around the main
tuning knob, and no red printing between the frequency
number rows on the glass dial, and no mirrored scale.
At least this is what I think I see on the pictures
on eBay. I could be all wet and may post a picture
later.
The radio is at a
beach cottage and I'll be going there today.

Thank you Garey,
I tried to fix some rusty knobs and will post a
picture. OK on the 2B schematic info. I guess
I have an early one cuz it looks different than
those on Ebay.
