"Rick Tucker" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> made an utterance to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I have read with interest all input in this thread. I am a life long cw man. I used a Drake C line as my primary station for over 12 years in the 70's and 80's. I bought it new and wish I had kept it. Now have a T4XC and R4A that I use regularly. The MFJ econo keyer (401 series) is a good one with the Curtis chip. It works fine with Drake gear. I also use an Accu-memory II keyer which I like. I use both Vibroplex Iambic and Standard paddles but do not use the iambic mode. To me, the Iambic paddles work just fine as standard paddles. I like the feel of all of them Also switch to Vibroplex Lightening Bug or Deluxe with very little trouble.
