I ship quite a few Drake items through UPS and I am quite aware of the
expense. UPS shipments also have a minimum of $100 insurance automatically.
not an additional charge. Items I have sold through Ebay that required me to
purchase packing materials I always considered part of the sell, not an add
on additional charge. As stated the shipping calculator used on Ebay does
not necessarily reflect the actual UPS charge. Sellers can " pad " the
amount for what ever they want. I personal shy away from bidding on items
with excessive shipping charges. My personal take on the whole thing is that
we are many times over charged for items through the Ebay bidding process
anyway, we all know that, its the cost of purchasing on Ebay, but to further
be gouged for shipping is just plain greed. Kind of like selling a TR-4 on
one auction, and the manual on another, crystals one another, etc. Sadly its
the American way.
