The product you mention is, as best I can tell, lanolin from sheep. I use it on my lawn mower deck and a couple other places. Have never used on delicate items like electronics. I usually use LPS1 on electronics and things like micrometers and calipers. I have used LPS1 as "scratchy" volume control cleaner with good luck. I have not used it on the Drakes that way.

The can says "LPS1 lubricant is safe on plastic, fabrics, rubber, paint and finishes." I have used it on the "balls" of my Drake 4 line PTO. It smoothed out my PTO.

Your milage may vary.

It's been around for sometime, and really does work as well as their
website claims.
doesn't breakdown plastics, doesn't gum -up, doesn't dry out, repels
moisture, ect,ect.
I can vouch for it. It does however have a bit of an odor when first
applied.

just a happy customer.
