Good Morning All,

I'm curious if anyone on this list has ever attempted to hook-up a Q-multiplier
to his/her Drake R-4 receiver, in order to enhance its selectivity/sensitivity
for weak signal CW reception...?

I have a spare Heathkit QF-1 here that I'm thinking of "padding" down to the
50-KHz IF of my old R-4.

Any comments, or real-world experiences in this regard?

My hands-on realities with Q-multipliers have been limited to IFs of 455-KHz,
and 725-KHz ONLY here --- in every application, however, the inclusion of a
Q-multiplier has proven to be well worth the effort involved...

But I've never had occasion to try one on an IF frequency as low as
50-KHz...until now, of course! Hi Hi.

Thanks in advance, & my vy
